Story
It’s Alcohol Awareness Week (7-13 July) and I am cycling at least 9KM every day. Raising funds and awareness for Alcohol Change UK - a total of 63KM – please sponsor my efforts by donating just 10p per kilometre (£6.30) or more if you can!
This year’s Alcohol Awareness Week theme, “Alcohol and Work,” highlights the important and often overlooked connection between our drinking habits and working lives. From low productivity and poor sleep to stress, presenteeism and worsening mental health, alcohol use has a wide-reaching impact on both individuals and organisations.
If you would like me to give a talk on alcohol @work at your work place or know a business that would benefit from having an Alcohol Policy at work helping deliver best practice and employee well-being, please do drop me a line or book a discovery call. An Alcohol Policy provides a consistent narrative and approach to the use of alcohol, which can be adopted by the whole company and supply chain.
There are around 10 million people in the UK drinking in ways that can harm their health. Alcohol affects us more than we realise - impacting sleep, anxiety, mood, energy, and focus. And yet, for many of us, it’s still tied into work-related stress or social habits we rarely question.
By doing this I hope I inspire people to take a fresh look at their own relationship with alcohol and work, while supporting the fantastic work of Alcohol Change UK
