Story
10 years this year, in the back room of a GAME store (RIP) - Ellis did her first Gameblast stream. The stream was powered by in store wifi, and ran with participants toggling between serving customers out front and playing games.
Within that time we have raised around £7000, had multiple game crashes, a blue screen or two, many cakes being baked AND pushed into faces, and way too many ridiculous jokes and innuendos. (we love you ligma)
(and even a tournament!)
A year ago, Gameblast came to the University of Northampton for two days of chaos before the 24 hour stream began. And it’s no different this year.
Join us to celebrate 10 years of doing what is important to us.
SpecialEffect put fun and inclusion into the lives of people with physical disabilities, enabling them to play video games & access technology with whichever part(s) of their body they can use best.
By adapting technology from modified joypads to eye-control, we find a way for people to play to the best of their abilities, bringing families and friends together & having a profoundly positive impact on confidence, rehabilitation and quality of life. We also work with eye-control, helping those completely paralysed & unable to speak to communicate just by moving their eyes.
Help us support them today!
