Story
“At one time, Peter Pan was an invalid in the Hospital… and it was he who put me up to the little thing I did." - J.M. Barrie
In July 2026, I will be launching my debut academic book, 'A Thousand Pieces: Story, Time & Peter Pan' (Greenwich Exchange). The book explores J.M. Barrie's classic, its origins and evolution. In conjunction, it feels only right to fundraise for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), to honour its unique, historic connection to Peter Pan.
In 1929, Barrie gifted the rights to the story to GOSH, creating a legacy that continues to support seriously ill children and their families. In 1988, the House of Lords voted in favour of an amendment to the UK’s Copyright Designs & Patents Act, granting GOSH the right to a royalty from Peter Pan in perpetuity.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help the Hospital Charity continue its extraordinary work supporting children, families, research and life-changing care.
Thank you for your generosity - your support will make a real difference.
(Please note: donations made here are separate to sales of the book).
