Story
During WW2 around 380,000 British personnel lost their lives fighting in a war that would last for over 6 years.
The bravery and courage of all those that served, so that we can have our today is something we should be thankful for.
It is important that we remember all veterans and the sacrifice they made all those years ago, as well as those that are serving today.
I have crocheted this Tommy, in the hope that he can raise some money for The Not Forgotten charity which was founded in 1920 and support veterans in the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and Merchant Navy. They aim to put on social events and activities for them to combat loneliness, isolation, boost morale and restore confidence. You can read more about the charity here:
Throughout the year, I will be taking the Tommy on a little tour to a variety of events, museums and places where he will remember all our veterans and put updates of what he is up to on the facebook page created below:

Any amount you can give to this amazing charity would be appreciated, but more importantly please feel free to use the pages to post a good wish or a short memory of a loved one that served for all to read and remember.
I hope you enjoy following this Tommys journey and he looks forward to updating you along the way.
At the end of the fundraising, I hope that the Tommy will find a forever home with a veteran as a thank you from myself and for them to enjoy.
Thank you for supporting The Not Forgotten charity and for visiting my page.
Many thanks
