Story

Running the Bath Half Marathon for NASS 🧡

Next year, I’ll be taking on the Bath Half Marathon to raise money for NASS (National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society), a charity that means a lot to me because of my dad.

My dad has ankylosing spondylitis, a type of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA), which is a long-term condition that causes inflammation in his spine and joints. Although it’s something he has to live with every day, it doesn’t define him. He is one of the strongest people I know and has always been an inspiration to me, so this is my way of doing something positive for him and others who live with the condition.

NASS provides information, support and resources for people living with axSpA, helping them understand and manage their condition better. I hope that by raising money, I can help NASS continue their amazing work and encourage more people to access the support available to them.

Doing the Bath Half Marathon will be a challenge, but I’m proud to be doing it for a cause that is so close to my heart. If the money I raise can help even one person living with axSpA feel more supported, or contribute towards improving the lives of people like my dad, every kilometre will be worth it.

Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me and my family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me on this journey. 🧡
