Story

So as a fat man, there is a very real chance that I may snap the equipment that is meant to keep me safe. Will I survive? Who knows?!

The only way to find out is by sponsoring me so that I hit the fundraising goal that they allow me to take part.

I appreciate that my chosen charity may not be to everyone’s taste but if you could look passed that and think of it just as a Leeds based charity that makes a huge difference (because of their size and reach) to people’s lives.

They look to support and inspire those who live in and around Leeds. They do this through a range of activities including health and social education in primary and secondary schools, community volunteering , sports participation for everyone, enabling young people to make Positive Choices™ about their lives and futures, and they combat loneliness and sadness for all age groups including with the Corner Flag Café, Veterans group and over 50’s social club. They constantly adapt and evolve our offer to meet the needs of our community.

More information about the great work they do can be found here - https://www.leedsunited.com/en/foundation

In order to try to ensure that the equipment used remains fully intact, I am also going to set myself a personal target of dropping a stone in weight before the event. This will be particularly difficult given that it is Crème Egg McFlurry season but I shall give it my best shot.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Any amount that you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
