We support childhood lower limb conditions to make a real difference

Story

On our 20 week scan we discovered our daughters left foot had a condition called talipes.

Club foot (also called talipes) is where a baby is born with a foot or feet that turn in and under. Early treatment should correct it. In club foot, 1 foot or both feet point down and inwards with the sole of the foot facing backwards.

Affecting 1-1000 children

Normally through genetic

& mostly known in boys

In our case there is no family history and we are due a girl

Treatment for club foot usually starts within a few weeks of your baby being born. The main treatment, called the Ponseti method, involves gently manipulating and stretching your baby's foot into a better position. It's then put into a cast. This is repeated every week for about 5 to 8 weeks.

Most cases will require a surgery to cut the Achilles

And after will require the baby to wear a special set of boots and bars this is used for 5 years so safe to say it’s quite a journey .

The purpose for this event is to not just raise money for the only charity for the most common and most rarer lower limb conditions ( steps charity worldwide ), but to share the awareness and show support to other families and children who are in the same situation .

A charity football match / fun day will be used to bring everyone together for a fun filled day with the benefits of raising money and awareness of talipes

ANY donations or shares will be IMMENSELY appreciated
