🏃♂️🇺🇦 Join the MILES FOR INDEPENDENCE Lifesavers4Ukraine Virtual Charity Run! 🇺🇦🏃♀️
My knees won't forgive me if I am running this event, but I will try to achieve at least 40 miles walking to honor my almost 2 years of volunteering for UMC. I will do most of it on my lunch breaks, so my colleagues will be witnesses of my achievement (and maybe some weight loss on the way !). I do know personally this money will be well used in a place who needs absolutely every possible help.
In 2025, Ukraine celebrates 34 years of independence — a powerful symbol of hope and resilience. To honour this milestone, we invite you to take part in a 34-day virtual run or walk from July 22 to August 24, Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Organised by the Ukrainian Medical Charity (UMC), this event invites you to become a Lifesaver4Ukraine — a lifesaver supporting Ukrainian children in need.
Run, jog, or walk any distance — alone or with friends — and raise funds for Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kharkiv OKHMATDYT— IOZDP, the largest tertiary centre for children. Kharkiv is a city in Northeastern Ukraine that has been continuously bombed since the invasion. Your steps and fundraising will help purchase vital equipment for the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU), providing life-saving care for sick and injured children, many of whom are forced to shelter underground.
