Story
Every year, I fundraise for LRBT in memory of my father, who lost his sight to macular degeneration. I remember his world shrinking as his vision faded, and the pain of witnessing his struggle was unbearable. What makes LRBT special is that they provide free eye care to those in need, changing lives and restoring sight. I'm walking for LRBT to help bring hope and light to as many people as possible. Your support would mean the world to me."
Ayesha was a bright, joyful girl whose vision loss changed everything. She could no longer read, play, or recognise her parents. Her father, Waheed Khan, who runs a small tea stall in a local market, felt helpless as sadness took over their home. Unable to afford treatment, Waheed watched his daughter’s world grow darker. Then they found hope at LRBT. With kindness and expert care, LRBT restored Ayesha’s sight at no cost. Now she’s back at school, reading, laughing, and dreaming again, bringing joy and hope to her family.
Waheed prays every day for the donors who made this possible, saying,
"Though you may never meet her, you have changed her life—and ours—forever. Your kindness has brought us hope and light. I will keep you all in my prayers always."
Your donations can bring sight to millions of adults and children like Ayesha
