Ayesha's journey to Sight
Ayesha was a bright, joyful young girl whose laughter once lit up her home. But when she began to lose her vision, everything changed. She could no longer read, play, or even recognise her parent's faces. Her father, Waheed Khan ran a small tea stall in a local market,. He watched helplessly as sadness and silence took over their home.
Struggling to make ends meet, Waheed couldn’t afford the treatment Ayesha so desperately needed. The emotional weight of watching his daughter slip into darkness without being able to help her was unbearable.
Then came a ray of hope — someone told the family about LRBT’s free eye hospital. Desperate but determined, Waheed took Ayesha to LRBT. The doctors welcomed them with kindness, examined Ayesha , and offered treatment at no cost.
Thanks to LRBT, Ayesha’s sight was restored. Today, she is back at school, reading, laughing, and dreaming like every child should. Her recovery brought joy and hope back to her entire family.
Though you may never meet her, you have changed her life—and ours—forever. Your kindness has brought us hope and light. I will always keep you in my prayers.
Your donations can sponsor eye surgery at LRBT, giving adults and children back their sight, independence, and a brighter future.
