Over the past year, the conflict in the Middle East has devastated lives across the region, and millions have fled their homes in search of safety. People are in urgent need of food, shelter and medical care.

As a human, person of conscience, and fortunate student of a school who's mission "brings together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society", I seek to graduate by giving back and supporting those accross Lebanon and Palestine, who are most in need at this hour.

As such, I am raising funds for the UK Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Middle East Humanitarian Appeal. The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of humanitarian crisis overseas. DEC member charities and their local partners are working in Gaza, Lebanon and the surrounding region right now to provide life-saving aid. But they need more funds to meet the vast levels of need. As the conflict in the region expands, the DEC is constantly monitoring the humanitarian situation in order to be able to respond wherever the needs are greatest.
