Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Don't forget the tip this site asks for can be reduced even to zero.
From the age of 10 to 20, I kayaked—though I always called it a canoe—mainly at sea but also on the River Severn.
Now, on Good Friday 2025, I put my, largely forgotten, (50 year since last in a Kayak) paddling skills to good use by taking on a one day, very challenging, 38-mile kayak along the length of the River Severn, with five locks, within Worcestershire to raise funds for Headway Worcestershire.
We were met with inclement weather for most of the day, and a 12-15 mph headwind for the last 7 miles. It was a tough long day that we wouldn't have been able to complete without the supporters that followed us all day long.
We did it!!!
This incredible charity provides essential support to people affected by brain injuries, helping them regain independence, rebuild their confidence, and improve their quality of life. They offer specialist therapy, rehabilitation, and emotional support for survivors and their families, making a real difference in the local community.
I’m thrilled to be taking on this challenge for such a worthy cause, and I hope to raise both funds and awareness for Headway Worcestershire’s fantastic work.
There is a group of 7 or 8 of us targeting to raise more than £10,000 .....
