Story
There is a real need for access to education in Ghana:
-Almost a fifth of 13-15 year olds in the Northern Region have never had formal education; this is more than four times the national rate.
-The ratio of students to every classroom is 55:1.
- Gender disparities in performance against girls exist for Maths, Science, Social studies and English.
-40% of under 14 year olds have to work to survive. A significant proportion of these vulnerable children are subjected to exploitation.
