I’m completing the KiltWalk in 2026 to raise money for the Clyde FC Community Foundation which aims to use football as a means of bringing people together and increasing the health and wellbeing of communities across Glasgow and beyond.

While we have been successful with grants and other restricted funding, like many charities we struggle without core funding and unrestricted funds. Unfortunately; it is these funds which often cover the costs of events and initiatives for the individuals and communities who need it most but may not attract grant funding.

As a cause close to my heart, the Foundation created sessions in partnership with Guardianship Scotland to provide football opportunities for the young people they support including unaccompanied minors and victims of trafficking. These sessions are highly popular and successful but continue unfunded and I would like to raise as much money as possible to continue them as long as possible while seeking sustainable funding to secure the same positive outcomes for the young people involved.
