Story
Thanks for visiting our team’s page!
We are completing the KiltWalk in 2026 to raise money for the Clyde FC Community Foundation which aims to use football as a means of bringing people together and increasing the health and wellbeing of communities across Glasgow and beyond.
While we have been successful with grants and other restricted funding, like many charities we struggle without core funding and unrestricted funds. Unfortunately; it is these funds which often cover the costs of events and initiatives for the individuals and communities who need it most but may not attract grant funding such as the initiatives below:
Mental Health Football
Access to regular, structured football for individuals struggling with a range of mental health conditions. Football sessions and the informal peer-support which comes with these are invaluable to those who take part. Regular, core funding for this is particularly difficult to secure but necessary to cover the cost of equipment, appropriately qualified coaches and venues.

Integration
Our football sessions targeted at unaccompanied minors, young asylum seekers and victims of child trafficking provide a safe space for young people to express themselves through football, integrate through practising English and an opportunity to meet others from similar backgrounds who they may not spend much time around in their accommodation (children’s homes, foster families, etc).

Holiday Activities
Our free-to-access football camps during the school holidays have provided thousands of hours of structured, safe activity for young people who could not afford to take part in paid camps as well as providing thousands of free meals to tackle holiday hunger.
Anything you can spare, we truly appreciate. If you can’t spare anything, please share with friends, colleagues, etc!
