Story
Miles turned 1 in August and it has been the happiest year of our lives. As some of you may know, he had a difficult start. At 9 days old, he required an operation on his heart which came as a real shock to us all. He had become really poorly and the operation was needed to save his life. The days surrounding this operation were the hardest I’ve ever been through, especially having given birth only a few days before. However, the doctors and nurses at Great Ormond Street were incredible. They very quickly diagnosed Miles’ symptoms and knew what needed to be done. They treated Koy and I with such care, warmth and kindness. We spent 6 days at the hospital, where they provided us with accommodation so that we could be near to Miles at all times. I am so, so grateful to all the staff at the hospital for saving Miles and for being so caring towards my family. The staff there will always be my heroes. Miles is such a happy little boy and has since seen some of the nurses who cared for him. They were thrilled to see how well he is doing! I am hoping that by taking part in the 2026 Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon for TeamGOSH, I can raise money for this wonderful hospital. If you able and would like to, any donation to sponsor me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Xx
