Aviva York Cycling Challenge · 26 September 2024 ·

Aviva staff are taking part in a cycling challenge on the 26th September to raise funds for York Against Cancer, a local charity helping local people affected by cancer. This is a day-long cycling event with 4 route options.

Story

I'm joining Aviva Cycling challenge this year as cancer really peed me off this year! Hitting too close to home and taking away people I care about.

In memory of a friend and to send positive vibes to my sister - I'll cycle the route, raising the money for York Against Cancer.

York Against Cancer is a local charity helping local people affected by cancer. We provide care and support for patients and their families in York and North & East Yorkshire, fund pioneering cancer research and provide cancer awareness education and information.

All our work is funded by fundraising and donations. We are so grateful to all Aviva colleagues taking part in the Aviva York Cycling Challenge, who are helping to support the range of services we provide, including the running of The Leveson Centre - a support centre for people living with cancer, our free minibus transportation service for patients, the funding of world-leading research and our respite homes in Filey and Yapham.

We'll get through this together.
