I have volunteered at the home project since the summer after 9th grade. That first year, I was too young to work with the kids at the shelter, so instead I helped in the kitchen with the great chef Nikos, who taught me recipes from around the world, helpful cooking tricks, and important kitchen cleanliness. I loved being able to share meals that I played a part in making with these inspirational teens.

The following two summers, I returned to the home project as a tutor and mentor. I was welcomed back by all my friends there, and was excited to be back every time.

For just 2,000 euros I will be able to provide the shelter that I volunteered at with professional washer/dryers.
