Story
A few summers ago, I had the privilege of volunteering at The HOME Project, a nonprofit organization that supports unaccompanied refugee children in Greece. I spent time with young Ukrainian children in one of the shelters, where we played games, made friendship bracelets, and simply enjoyed being together. The experience left a lasting impression on me, and I’ll be returning in a few weeks to volunteer again.
Since then, I’ve stayed connected to The HOME Project through Faces of Our World (https://www.facesofourworld.org/) a youth-led educational initiative that supports refugee children by raising awareness and building empathy.
This fundraiser is my way of giving back. My goal is to provide commercial-grade washing machines and dryers for HOME Project shelters. A complete set for one shelter costs approximately €2,000.
My hope is to eventually provide the equipment for all of the shelters with the help of other former volunteers. I’d love to inspire other former HOME Project volunteers to join my team and launch their own fundraisers to provide laundry equipment for the shelters that touched their own lives. Together, we can help equip every HOME Project shelter and ensure every child has the dignity of clean clothes, clean bedding, and a safe place to call home.
Thank you so much for your support.
