As a group of Ajax Sea Scout Leaders and parents we are looking to take part and hopefully complete the Great River Race - https://greatriverrace.org.uk/

The race is over 21.6 miles from Millwall in East London to Richmond in Surrey. About 400 boats will compete in the race on Saturday 16th of September.

None of us have ever rowed in this kind of event before.

We are looking to support a local children's charity called Momentum -https://www.momentumcharity.org/

Momentum are supporting children with cancer and life-challenging conditions, and their families, helping them to cope more easily whatever the outcome. Working across London, Surrey and Sussex, we partner with ten local hospitals who refer families to us following their child’s diagnosis.

In the last year they supported 430 families through their child's serious illness diagnosis and treatment, or those who had sadly experienced a bereavement.
