Story
Vitamin A is critical in eye and immune system health, and most of us are fortunate enough to get enough with our diets. Anywhere from 250,000 to 500,000 children go blind each year due to lack of vitamin A in their diets, with approximately 1/3 of all children under five being deficient in vitamin A.
Helen Keller Intl’s Vitamin A Supplementation programs provide critical nutrition to children around the world at risk for vitamin A deficiency. Their work helps to provide supplements with roughly 70 million doses per year.
