Alice Turner is raising money for Labour Behind the Label
In memory of Erica Turner

5775 Steps for Solidarity - UK to Dhaka · 16 April 2026 to 31 July 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Go on a walk every day, log your steps and raise money for safe factories and trade union rights. What better way to mark 25 years of Labour Behind the Label than by covering the 5775 miles to Bangladesh!

Story

This July I'll be walking 57.75 miles in support of Labour Behind the Label and in memory of my sister Erica, who was born on 16th July '85.

During the month of July I will be walking 57.75 miles to build up the distance from London to Dhaka. I hope to raise £57.75 for this charity, who campaign in solidarity with garment workers worldwide against poverty wages, unsafe working conditions, repression of trade union rights, and more.

Your support, however small, can help make a difference. Together, we can push for a fashion industry built on dignity, fair wages, and safe working environments.
