Families in the Northern districts of Dinajpur, Nilphamari & Panchagarh face acute poverty due to limited income opportunities. Families mainly rely on daily labourer incomes connected to agricultural work, which usually pays a maximum of 500-600 Taka (£3.20); however, during lean seasons, the majority of families become jobless, and food insecurity gets worst, causing a high prevalence of health issues due to their weak immune systems.
