Story
This is me and my oldest friend Hannah, taken just over 30 years ago, when we were 18. Hannah was beautiful inside and out and the best friend anyone could have - she was vibrant, hilariously funny, loyal, positive, straight-talking, kind and so much fun to be around.

Hannah was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome in her early 20s, an inherited condition that affects connective tissue in the body. For the majority of her adult life, Hannah lived in significant pain, in and out of hospital, with a multitude of complicated and complex health problems, both physical and mental which stemmed from her EDS. She never complained, she was incredibly resilient and strong and she lived her life to the full, as best as she could.
Hannah passed away suddenly in June this year, aged 49. I am running Beachy Head Marathon on Saturday 25th October in her memory to raise funds for Ehlers-Danlos Support UK, which plays a vital role in supporting people with this condition and ensuring that they have access to the appropriate medical services and care.
When it gets tough on the run, I will blast Hannah's anthem, Elton John's I'm Still Standing through my headphones and remember how very lucky I am to be alive, fit, healthy and strong.
If you can spare any money to sponsor me, I would appreciate it hugely.
