Run Reigate 2025 · 21 September 2025 ·

Demand for what Include does is high: creating communities where no-one is excluded because of communication needs. The kindness of donors can help the charity meet demand.

Story

To celebrate my 50th birthday, and to remember my Dad, the inspiration behind our communication charity, who sadly didn't make it beyond his 50th year, the boys and I will be running Run Reigate.

Not only am I passing a personal milestone, but so is Include. I ran the first ever pilot Include Choir session at Redhill Station 10 years ago this year.

So I had to do something to mark the occasion. And, inevitably, it's a bit silly. It was suggested that, as I am well known for running here, there and everywhere with Hattie, the Include Choir hatstand, it would be only fair if she joined me to run Run Reigate this year.

So I will be running 5k, with a hatstand, and collecting 10 'objects of reference' (the props which Include uses to remind everybody that communication is more than words) along the way.

Older... if definitely not wiser - I think my Dad might have approved.
