My son and his friends are incredibly fortunate with their upbringing and educational opportunities.

Not everyone is so lucky, and I have recently been introduced to the amazing work that the charity known now as Allchild, does in helping less privileged children (see below for more details).

13 years after running the london Marathon I am delighted to be able to help the charity through running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in mid-October.

AllChild (formerly West London Zone) supports communities in underserved neighbourhoods within London and Greater Manchester to help children and young people build the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to flourish.

Recognising the shortcomings of a system that reacts to crises rather than preventing them, Allchild connect with children and young people most in need of opportunity and mobilise local private, public, and voluntary services to co-design tailored programmes of support. Delivered in-school through their team of trusted Link Workers, their innovative Impact Programmes are incredibly impactful for the children.
