CMV is the virus that Ellie caught before she was born, and has resulted in her many physical and learning challenges.

June is CMV awareness month, and is also my birthday month - so in order to celebrate my own beautiful CMV Warrior turning 18 this year I've decided to ask for donations to CMV Action instead of gifts, to help raise awareness of the important work that they do.

Every day across the UK many families are facing a battle with a little known virus called cytomegalovirus (CMV). The effects of CMV include hearing loss, vision impairment, cerebral palsy, developmental delays and in some cases can be the cause of pregnancy loss and still-birth. CMV Action is the only charity in the UK working to raise awareness and support families affected by CMV.
