Story
This March, the London & East of England operations team of Amanda Fallan, Chris May, Curtis Chrzan, Duane Towns, James Olphin, James Smith, Joe Elvy, Paddy Knight, Matt Failes and Todd Manning will be hosting a fundraising drive to support Ground Control's ‘Charity of the Year’. To honour our colleague, Simon and to raise funds for the RNLI, the team will be organising a series of events throughout March, including:
Ten mile team walk to Burnham-on-Crouch RNLI station, to tour the station and meet some of the volunteers who give up their time for this worthy cause.
Our teams at RAF Lakenheath and Alconbury will be swapping their safety boots for running shoes as they take to the track to complete a combined 30 laps over the course of a day.
Paddy Knight will be undertaking a solo walk from his home to Selsey RNLI station - an eye-popping 42 miles!
James Olphin will be cycling 75 miles this month - the equivalent of him cycling to the office from home.
Chris May loves the M25 so much he’s going to run, walk and plod the equivalent distance throughout March.
At our pre-season conference get ready to buy your raffle ticket - we have some fab prizes up for grabs, plus you’ll get a cupcake or brownie!
Later on we’ll have a beer pong takeover which may involve an RNLI wellington boot.
