🥾 24 MILES. 2 DAYS. 8KG ON HER BACK. AND SHE’S ONLY 12! 🐴💚
Over the past couple of weeks, our amazing Isabelle has been preparing for the Cheshire Hike 2026 — and this weekend she completed her dress rehearsal.
The challenge? 24 miles across two days, carrying an 8kg backpack packed with everything she needs — including her tent, food, clothing and kit. 🎒
And she doesn’t simply follow a route… Isabelle has to plot and navigate her own way, whilst being prepared for whatever the British weather decides to throw at her! 🌧️☀️💨
There have been training walks, practice sessions and now the dress rehearsal — which means that over the last two weeks, this 12-year-old has walked the equivalent of TWO MARATHONS, carrying 8kg on her back. 🤯
Just let that sink in…
48 miles.
8kg of kit.
Two marathons.
All at just 12 years old.
We couldn’t be prouder of her determination, resilience and sheer grit. ❤️
And Isabelle would love to turn all those miles into something positive.
🐴 She is fundraising for The Horse Trust — a charity that provides lifelong care, rehabilitation and a safe home for horses, ponies and donkeys in need.
If you can spare anything at all, £2, £5, £10 or whatever you can afford, it would mean so much to Isabelle and help make those very sore feet feel even more worthwhile! 🥾😂
Please support her epic challenge and help her raise as much as possible for a charity very close to her heart. 🐴💕
Go Isabelle! 48 miles is one seriously impressive achievement for a 12-year-old! 💪🏼🐴
Thank you for supporting her! ❤️
The Horse Trust is the oldest horse charity in the world. Since 1886, they have provided a loving sanctuary for retired working horses (like police and military heroes) as well as rescue horses, ponies, and donkeys that have suffered from severe neglect.
Because they receive no government funding, they rely entirely on public donations to provide food, medical care, and a peaceful retirement for these beautiful animals.
Every pound I raise goes directly toward their daily care. I would be incredibly grateful for any donation you can spare, big or small, to help me smash my goal and support these wonderful animals.
Thank you so much for your support!
