Hoofing it for The Horse Trust: The 140 Challenge!

Are you ready to lace up your trainers, dust off your bicycle, or get creative in the kitchen? This July and August, we are launching our biggest, most exciting summer event yet: Hoofing it for The Horse Trust! We are challenging our amazing community to get active, have fun, and raise £140 (or more!) to support the incredible residents at our sanctuary. Whether you want to take this on as a solo personal goal or team up with your friends, family, or colleagues, every single mile, length, and pound raised makes a massive difference.

Choose Your Own Adventure!

There is no single way to "hoof it." We want you to smash this challenge your way. Here are just a few ways you can hit your 140 goal over July and August:

Go the Distance: Walk, run, or ride 140 miles.

Make a Splash: Swim 140 lengths of your local pool.

Two Wheels: Cycle a 140-mile route over the two months.

Get Creative: Not into sports? No problem! Bake 140 cupcakes for a charity sale, knit 140 rows, or craft something beautiful to sell.

Why Your Support Matters

The Horse Trust is the oldest horse charity in the world. Since 1886, we have been providing a safe, dignified landing place for retired working horses, from brave police horses to military veterans, as well as offering a loving sanctuary for horses, ponies, and donkeys that have suffered severe cruelty and neglect.

Here is the reality: Our charity receives absolutely no government funding. We are 100% reliant on the kindness and generosity of public donations. By taking part in Hoofing it for The Horse Trust, you are quite literally throwing a lifeline to animals who have spent their lives serving us or surviving hardship.
