Story

Growing up, Aron always felt like he was viewing the world through a slightly different lens. Diagnosed with Autism at a young age, he spent many years navigating the quiet questions of why things felt different for him compared to others. As he grew, that path became more complex with additional diagnoses of OCD and Tics, adding layers of difficulty to things most people take for granted.

While these labels helped explain the "why," the daily reality of living with them requires immense strength, patience, and resilience. But Aron isn't just defined by his diagnoses; he is defined by his heart and his desire to give back to the community that supports families just like ours.

This year, Aron is taking on his biggest challenge yet. He has committed to trying 19 different foods; a task that might sound simple to some, but for Aron, is a massive milestone. Due to his Autism, textures, smells, and tastes can be overwhelming and incredibly difficult to navigate.

By pushing himself to face these 19 different textures and flavours, he isn’t just trying food; he will be facing his fears to raise vital funds for Contact. Contact is a wonderful charity dedicated to supporting families with disabled children. They provide a lifeline of information, workshops, and one to one support for parents and young people navigating the complexities of disability. For Aron, this isn't just a fundraiser; this is apart of who Aron is and it’s a way to ensure no family feels they have to walk this path alone.

Additionally, Aron has asked Storm Mystique Cheerleaders to support him in holding an event for this fundraiser. On Tuesday 16th June & Wednesday 17th June, the dancers from Storm Mystique will be paying £1 each to wear green, aswell as holding a bake sale at their training session, all to help Aron raise money. Every penny raised will go towards helping Contact support families navigating disability.

No donation is too small — every little bit truly makes a difference.

Thank you so much for your support 💚
