Story
Our amazing mum is cycling from the Hook of Holland to Stockholm. The trip spans 31 towns and cities, 36 days, approximately 1,800km, 7 friends joining on and off and roughly 8 million cinnamon buns consumed along the way.
Having started her career off at the Lister in Stevenage as a nurse in both A&E and ICU, it felt fitting that she should use this mammoth trip to raise money for a charity operating within the Lister Hospital. The Butterfly Volunteers at the Lister are a group of specially trained people who support dying patients, their families and friends at the end of their life. They offer one to one support, compassionate listening, comfort and companionship, particularly for those patients with few or no visitors. Mum is passionate about providing care for those who need it most, and she couldn't be happier to be raising money for such an important and valued group of volunteers.
We are so unbelievably proud of her, and so grateful for the volunteers who devote time and care to individuals living out their final days at the Lister, and would be extremely thankful for any small contribution you can make to this big and worthy cause.
All our love,
Abs and Stell x
