Story
This August, I am excited to embark on a personal challenge with my Dad as we roller skate/blade 100km in support of LOOK, a charity dedicated to empowering visually impaired young people.
As a current volunteer mentor for LOOK, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible impact this organisation has on the lives of young individuals and their families affected by sight loss. Being visually impaired myself, I truly appreciate the vital services that LOOK provides.
For years, my Dad and I have shared a passion for roller skating, and this challenge is an opportunity for us to push our limits while raising awareness and funds for a cause that is very close to my heart. Our journey will take us through indoor rinks, outdoor tracks, and even some road skating as we strive to complete this distance by the end of August!
I am incredibly grateful for your support in this journey. Together, we can make a lasting impact. Thank you for considering supporting 'Miles for Mentoring'—your kindness will help illuminate paths for many young people facing sight loss.

Every contribution makes a significant difference. Just £5 helps fund our parent/carer helpline, offering essential support and guidance to those caring for a visually impaired child. A donation of £50 keeps our support groups running, providing a vital community connection. With £100, we can host an online forum or panel event that shares expertise and valuable insights.Your generosity can also help train new mentors for visually impaired youth at £200 or cover the costs of running an awareness workshop in schools for £500. For £1,000, you can enable a family of four to attend LOOKfest—a groundbreaking VI-accessible weekend festival! And with £2,000, you can provide an entire year’s worth of mentoring support for a visually impaired young person
