Story
As some will know, in January 2024 my dad received a terminal diagnosis of Bowel Cancer and has just started chemotherapy with the aim to prolong life. My whole family are staying positive and hopeful that we still have many, many more years to spend making memories and enjoying each others company. 🩵
My dad’s ran the Great North run many times, but this year it’s my turn (If only to absolutely smash his best time because I’m mega competitive haha!) He’s one of my biggest supporters and has only been trying to encourage me to run for the past 10 years 🤣
For this reason, I’ve chosen to run the Great North Run and raise money for Bowel Cancer UK this year. They’re the UK's leading bowel cancer charity and are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer.
Bowel cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer with over 16,000 people dying annually of a disease that is preventable, treatable and curable. Im determined to help Bowel Cancer UK to change that. The money you donate will help to provide support and information to patients and their families, enable them to fund and support research into bowel cancer and to campaign for early diagnosis and best treatment and care for all.
Thank you all so much for your support
