Royal Parks Half Marathon 2024 · 13 October 2024 ·

Our amazing runners are taking on the beautiful Royal Parks Half Marathon this October in support of children and young people in underserved neighbourhoods across the UK.

Story

Amy and Dan are running the 2024 Royal Parks half marathon together for AllChild. This is a fabulous charity which helps children and young people build the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to flourish and we have included some more details at the end of this message.

We have been training over the summer, as you can see from the pictures! We were hoping to get around in under 2 hours but Dan tore his calf a few weeks ago, so we will have to see..... Dan is going to run (or hobble) regardless and is determined to make the full distance.

We are just looking for a very small donation towards this excellent cause, ever a few pounds will be hugely appreciated.

Thank you so much in advance.

Amy & Dan xx

AllChild (https://www.allchild.org/)

It is estimated that 20% of children and young people in underserved neighbourhoods are at risk of exclusion, being in neither education nor employment, being at risk of mental health crisis or requiring social care.

Shana was incredibly shy when she was identified for the AllChild Impact Programme. To boost her confidence, she was paired with Brent Link Worker, Seema who recognised the connection between her academic performance and self-esteem. Through tailored support in English and engagement in confidence-boosting activities, Shana blossomed academically and socially. With Seema’s support, Shana’s mother began to realise the importance of our holistic approach which recognises the role of confidence and emotional wellbeing in driving academic success.

AllChild helps children and young people build the social, emotional, and academic skills they need to flourish. With your donations, we can support more children like Shana to build the skills they need to fulfil their potential.
