So way back in January (?) I was doom scrolling Twitter and found a post about applying to something called Dance Floor Heroes. Well you can take the girl off an ice rink and cover her in chalk for powerlifting, but you cannot take the sequins away from the girl.

Several months later, having been through the application process, live heats, semi-final video submission and nerve wracking wait I’VE ONLY MADE THE FINAL!!

Ya girl is learning to ballroom dance and going to Blackpool for one night only. An absolute dream!

Obviously, taking part in such an amazing event, we need to do something pretty spectacular. Tia's Crown is a charity which helps people with poor mental and physical health through dance sessions in a safe space. If you know me, you know I have some pretty harsh anxiety that likes to manifest as trichotillomania. It’s ruined my confidence on several occasions and left me in tears more than once. Having a charity like Tia’s Crown is incredible, as I absolutely know the positive impact that movement and exercise have on my mental health.

I would be so grateful if you would donate and/or share this post so we can reach as many people as possible to raise money for this cause. I’m going to be doing a few mad things along the way so you’re not just waiting for dancing day, and I’ll keep you all updated.
