Over the course of this 25th year in business we're raising funds in aid of the brilliant and essential work three charities do across the country with a series of fundraisers, events and more! Take a moment to read about some of the tireless work that so many people at these charities do daily to improve lives.
AberNecessities:
Providing disadvantaged families with the essential and necessities that no child should go without. From maternity bundles for mother and baby to nappies, formula milk, clothing, toys and equipment for children aged 0-18 years, AberNecessities recognises the importance of meeting the basic needs of a child in order to give them the best start possible.
The referral system allows us to distribute items fairly and efficiently to families who need them most. Currently, 24% of children living in Aberdeen are living in poverty; the need for AberNecessities has never been greater.
Friends of Anchor:
The ANCHOR Unit (Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy) is a collective of specialised wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. It is the central hub of cancer and haematology care for the north of Scotland.
invest in medical equipment and pioneering research to push the boundaries in how we diagnose, treat and care for people. Our founding aim was, and remains to this day, to provide the best possible treatment, care and support to patients.
Sarcoma UK:
Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma.
Sarcoma can affect anyone. That’s why we fund vital research, campaign for better treatments and offer support for everyone. We know that we have more work to do to make Sarcoma UK more representative of all the people affected by sarcoma.
