I'm trekking the Sahara Desert for Derian House!

Derian House Children's Hospice provides end of life care and respite to children and young adults across the entirety of Lancashire, the North of Manchester and the South of Cumbria. To do so it will cost them £6m in 2026, with only 30% of that coming from statutory funding.

Another year goes by and again Derian house will need to raise the £6m they need each year to be able to keep on offering the amazing support, not just my son Jacob and our family but the other 400 families that they support. Through the restbite care, counselling, sibling support, the amazing facilities that our beautiful children can access the list goes on and on what this wonderful place does. Derian house is such a special place with a amazing people that need our help with raising the funds they need.

So again im asking for help, often people ask us or say they would love to help us with Jacob, but due to his complex needs nobody really knows what they can do, well this is it! Help me get the funds that Derian house need, they have the facilities and staff that can help really help and give us the support we need.

Now for the crazy part, I've signed up for the Derian house 30 mile Trek across the Sahara Desert, so I'm looking for as much support I can get. Jacob my son, is a amazing little boy with such strength, resilience and he amazes me ever single day. This trek is obviously to raise as much funds for Derian house, but it is also a chance for me to find alittle bit of myself again, I'm a Dad to Jacob but also a carer, a PA, nurse with the daily medication routine physio etc, I wanted to do something for me and this challenge has given me the chance to do just that, and it also supports Derian house.
