Story

started sailing when I was in primary school in Kent, having grown up in a large mainstream school with a small deaf provision, we were taken out on a trip sailing. At that time, I was about 6/7 years old and these were wooden sailing boats!

Through Scouts, I found my love for watersports, taking part in canoeing and sailing. As a teenager I was always into sports but never did much sailing until my adult life.

I found a deaf sailing club (Deaf Sailing UK) and started to join in their Yacht trips, my passion for sailing started to come back. I knew immediately I wanted to get back into dinghy sailing. Having met the coach, dinghy and keelboat sailing grew and I found my passion again for sailing!

Taking things a step further to learn new experiences in joining races and competition and maybe even the deaflympics! My passion for sailing has inspired me to not only compete and pursue sailing but to also be a positive role model to my family and hopefully showcase they too can enjoy sailing like I do.

Your support will help not only me but also to inspire future generations.
