Story
For many deaf people, sailing seems to be a distant possibility. With limited access to mainstream sailing clubs, this can prove to be a challenge when wanting to learn how to sail let alone enter competitions.
Deaf Sailing UK aims to provide accessible training opportunities to deaf people at all sailing levels and abilities. Working closely with the RYA, Sailability and other partners such as Andrew Simpson Foundation - we thrive to provide inclusive sailing opportunities.
Through the development of deaf sailors, we (DSUK) have brought together teams of sailors to enter national competitions and championships to showcase deaf people too can enter the nature of sailing and compete at such a high level.
Your support helps enable the fight for inclusive games and sports, enabling deaf people to seek their sights into the world of is sailing.
