London to York bike ride · 24 April 2024

We work to transform lives in the UK’s most disadvantaged communities. We help people gain confidence and skills, get into training and work, protect and improve green spaces, lead more active lives and overcome significant challenges such as poverty, isolation, low skills and poor health.

Story

Andy, Joe and Ryan are taking part in a charity bike ride from the National Gallery in London to York Art Gallery, covering nearly 300 miles over 3 days from 24 to 26th April. This is all in aid of the great work that Groundwork do in delivering practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.

Groundwork support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if we are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net-zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives.

Special thanks to Lightweight drywall in organising the event. This means that all sponsorship money goes straight to the great work that Groundwork do across the country.
