Story
Since 2018 I have been a GOSH therapy dog volunteer with my GOSH Therapy dogs Lola and Ozzy (check out the gallery above for photos), visiting the wards at GOSH every week, including the intensive care wards, cancer wards and neurology and have seen first-hand the incredible work GOSH does.
Every day, 619 children and young people from across the UK arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital. Every day, doctors and nurses battle the most complex illnesses, and the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs. The GOSH charity helps make this possible and this is a chance for you to make a difference and help GOSH continue.
The medical staff, families and children I meet week in and week out, show bravery and determination that is simply awe-inspiring. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential. While the NHS meets the day-to-day running costs of the hospital, GOSH relies on support above and beyond this to continue providing extraordinary care, expertise and facilities. A better future for seriously ill children starts here.
Supporting me to run the London Marathon 2024 (my first one) is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of seriously ill children and their families.
