Story
After three years away from charity fundraising, I wanted to come back by doing something bigger than ever before — not one challenge, but three life-changing adventures across the world, all to raise funds for Aiden's Heart Beat Memorial Fund. Cardiac Risk in the Young
Aiden was a deeply loved father, son, brother, grandson and friend whose loss has left an unimaginable space in the hearts of everyone who knew him. In 2027, he should have been celebrating his 30th birthday. Instead, those who loved him are carrying his memory forward with strength, courage and purpose.
One of the friends joining me on the final challenge — walking the West Highland Way — is Aiden’s mum ( Fiona) , whose bravery and determination to honour her beautiful boy is truly inspiring. Together, with two wonderful friends beside us ( Kerry & Elaine, we will walk every mile in his memory.
To support this cause, I will be taking on three major endurance challenges:
🚴♀️ November 2026 – Cycling 350km across Sri Lanka over 5 days
❄️ March 2027 – Lapland husky training expedition
🥾 May 2027 – Walking the West Highland Way in 5 days
As many of you know, charity work and fundraising have always been close to my heart, and over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to take part in events around the world supporting causes that matter deeply to me. After taking three years away from fundraising, I wanted to return by pushing myself further than ever before physically, mentally and emotionally to help make a difference.
Every week in the UK, at least 12 seemingly fit and healthy young people die from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young works tirelessly to reduce these tragedies through awareness, research, screening programmes and supporting affected families.
By donating, you are helping CRY continue their vital work to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths and protect young hearts through better screening and education. Most importantly, you are helping keep Aiden’s memory alive and giving hope that other families may be spared the heartbreak of such devastating loss.
No donation is ever too small, and every share, message and contribution will mean the world to us.
Thank you for supporting this journey, for remembering Aiden, and for helping us raise as much as possible for this incredible cause. ❤️
