Walking for Aiden's Heart Beat Memorial Fund
Over five days, our team – Fiona (Aiden's mum), Elaine, Kerry and Angela – will be walking in support of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and Aiden's Heart Beat Memorial Fund.
We're taking on this challenge in loving memory of Aiden, determined to turn Fiona & her families loss into something positive by helping protect other young people and their families.
Every week in the UK, at least 12 seemingly fit and healthy young people die from undiagnosed cardiac conditions. These heart breaking deaths often happen without warning, leaving families and communities devastated.
CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) works tirelessly to reduce these tragedies through raising awareness, funding research, providing cardiac screening programmes and supporting families affected by young sudden cardiac death.
Our goal is to raise at least £14,000, enough to fund 200 potentially life-saving heart screenings for young people in East Lothian. These screenings can detect hidden heart conditions before they become life-threatening, giving young people the opportunity to receive treatment and continue living healthy lives.
Every mile we walk is for Aiden. Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps CRY continue its vital work to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through better screening, education and research.
Most importantly, your support helps keep Aiden's memory alive. By supporting this challenge, you're helping create a legacy of hope—one that could spare other families the heartbreak of losing someone they love far too soon.
If you're able to donate or share our page, we would be incredibly grateful. Together, we can honour Aiden's memory, raise awareness, protect young hearts and help save lives.
Thank you for walking beside us and helping us make every young heartbeat count. ❤️
