Abbey View Community Track

Ann-Marie Harwin is raising money for St Albans Track
In memory of Malcolm Wallace
Our vision is to create a welcoming, community driven facility, providing safe changing facilities and community spaces to support all track users. We aim to ensure that the track and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.

Story

Malcom Wallace passed away on the 23rd October 2025. Malcolm had a few passions, one being his beloved St Albans Athletics Club at Abbey View Community Athletic Track. Malcolm was a throws coach and specialised in coaching those with disabilities. He was a Games Maker at the 2012 London Olympics and the Head Coach for Haiti at the 2012 Paralympic Games. Following those 2012 Games, Malcolm supported and advised various clubs and Coaches in their disability policy and coaching practice all over the world. He was a beloved Coach to so many, always nurturing and encouraging, and will be sorely missed.

Malcolm wanted to see the St Albans track flourish and grow, hoping to see improved facilities for the athletes and seating for spectators. He spent so much of his time there over the years, it became his second home.

In our Dad's memory, and on behalf of our Mum Sue, we would love to raise funds for the track to contribute to their hopes of providing great facilities for all to enjoy.

Thank you

Sue, Ann-Marie, Heather and Andrew x
