Story
In 2001, aged 4, I underwent 3 rounds of major spinal surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The incredible surgeons, doctors and nurses at GOSH looked after me and my family throughout, and thanks to them I had a successful recovery post treatment.
I am so grateful for the care I received, and am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April to raise money for and give back to GOSH.
In between the surgeries and medicine I remember how amazing the staff were, and how they managed to bring a little bit of magic to my time in hospital. Whether it was watching Peter Pan on repeat, helping me decorate my casts & frames, or having “parties” in my hospital room with friends and family who were able to visit.
I am both excited and nervous to run my first (and I hope only!!) half marathon, and really appreciate any donations to help ensure children at the hospital, and their families, continue to receive such amazing care and support. Thank you ♥️
