Climbing Mount Toubkal for Newcastle United Foundation Disability Programmes

Anna Wadcock is raising money for Newcastle United Foundation

Mount Toubkal · 23 June 2025

In a strenuous 3 day long trek, our amazing team of hikers will climb Mount Toubkal under the hot Moroccan sun. This climb up North Africa's highest mountain will raise vital funds for Newcastle United Foundation's disability programmes.

Story

In June this year I am taking on my biggest challenge yet, climbing a mountain in Morocco for the Newcastle United Foundation!

Mount Toubkal, to be specific, is the highest mountain in Morocco in the Atlas Mountain range at a height of 4,167m and it will take three days to complete.

The purpose of joining this trek is to raise funds for their Disability Football programmes.

As the need for access to sessions and activity becomes greater, so do the costs to cover this. They currently need around £90,000 to help do this.

The more money the group doing this trek can raise, the more families that can be supported via this vital service.

Every penny dontated would be so gratefully recieved and will spur me on to get up that mountain!
