Story
On Saturday 6 June, as a family we will be walking 17 miles as part of the Midnight Walk 2026 for St Catherine's Hospice, in memory of our beautiful mum, Sue Light.
We sadly lost our mum very suddenly, at the end of last year after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in October/ November. This has been a difficult time for our family, but as we continue to move forward we want to be able to give back to those that helped us then, and now.
St Catherine’s Hospice provides specialist end of life care and support to people living with a terminal or life-limiting condition as well as their families. Every year, the hospice cares for around 2,000 people across West Sussex and East Surrey.
Mum was fortunate to spend 9 nights in St Catherine’s Hospice, Pease Pottage, where she was cared for before peacefully passing on Monday 22nd December. All the staff went above and beyond to make mum feel comfortable. This wouldn’t have been possible without generous donations given by the community.
Please donate as much as you can today.
If you wish to join us on the walk, please message me or Becca, we would love to have you join us. There are a variety of distances you can do on the night if you don’t feel up for the 17 miles!
Thank you.
