Story
West London is an area of deep inequality.1 in 5 children here are not receiving the support and opportunities they need to get the best start in life.
Take Gabriela, who was struggling with academics, linked to her autism. Her attendance was below average and her Link Worker, Robyn, noticed that Gabriela did not believe she could achieve much. However, with the support of our programme, Gabriela’s attendance went up to nearly 100%. She is now reaching expectations in maths, and where before she was reading books aimed at younger children - and would often refuse to write - she now loves age-appropriate books. She even brought Robyn a hand-written letter saying
"When I first met you I was nervous
but now I am confident and brave".
Joining up support and services means that West London Zone reach the children who most need support - making sure they have everything they need to get on track to thrive.
