Story
I owe my life, to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery -cutting open my skull 3 times after a brain haemorrhage, and also the incredibly caring NHS team at the National where I regained consciousness after 6 weeks, and of course to my work colleagues, Francesca and Lizzie who climbed external drainpipes to reach me- my SERIOUSLY impressive LEADERS. Your sponsorship funding will contribute to the "state of the art" new National Hospital Home for Neuroscience and The Rare Dementia Support Centre, due to open in 2025. For the National Brain Appeal Thames Pathway 28km Challenge, I will be pushed by friends and colleagues, in a Runners Wheelchair - provided through TGA Mobility. This Challenge will celebrate the 40th Birthday of THE NATIONAL BRAIN APPEAL. The unsung hero of all this, is my wonderful Carer, Elena Manipol, without whom NONE OF THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE.
